The applicant experience
Fast, mobile, and friction-free — so good candidates finish.
These instructions match the September 2026 Hiring update now in FAST. Screenshots use sample data.
Candidates open a posting and follow its configured application steps on their phone or computer. The company can group questions, choose step titles and include an optional booking step; Review remains last. Existing classic forms remain supported, so not every posting looks the same.
Answers are saved for returning to the same browser while its saved data remains available. Once contact information is captured, an unfinished lead can appear under Incomplete. Required visible questions are checked before submission. If the posting changes while someone is filling it out, FAST asks them to review the current form instead of silently submitting against old questions.
Optional appointment booking
When offered, choose an available time or continue without booking. Picking a time does not reserve it: the application and appointment are confirmed together at the final submission. If the time was taken meanwhile, the candidate can choose another time or skip booking without discarding their answers. The confirmation supplies the appointment details and cancellation link.
Companies that enable phone verification offer applicants an optional "verify my number" step — a texted code that earns the application a phone verified badge, so recruiters know the number is real before they dial. It never blocks anyone from applying.
Because the form is short and mobile-friendly, more candidates finish — you get more real applications from the same traffic. Postings can also present the form inside a designed landing page, and the same form can be embedded on your own website.
