FedEx contractor payroll software for linehaul drivers

Turn imported settlement trips into driver gross pay using your agreed rates. Review miles, payouts and adjustments before finalizing the pay run, then give each driver a trip-level pay document in the FAST app.

01

A pay engine that fits real linehaul pay plans

Configure per-mile, percentage of trip revenue, flat or tiered spot-rate pay, with driver-level rates and company defaults. Add applicable drop-and-hook pay, per diem and adjustments. Where your percentage-pay rules exclude fuel components, those components are removed from the revenue base before the percentage is applied.

02

Import, calculate, review and finalize

Start from the imported settlement and check driver assignments and eligible miles. FAST applies the configured rates, and your payroll reviewer checks the trip payouts and any manual adjustments before finalizing. Keep the approved pay documents available when a driver or your payroll provider needs the breakdown.

03

Check the calculation on a representative trip

For example, 500 eligible miles at an agreed $0.70 per mile produces $350 in base pay before any applicable additions or deductions. These figures are illustrative, not an advertised wage or a recommended pay rate. Check your own mileage basis, team-driver allocation and pay agreement when reviewing a run.

04

Pay transparency that keeps drivers

Every driver gets a weekly pay breakdown in the driver app — trips, miles, rates, and deductions in plain language. Carriers tell us their drivers "LOVE the pay breakdown" because pay disputes drop when drivers can see the math.

05

Office staff too — time clock to pay run

Clock-ins from drivers and office staff build timecards that flow into a finalized staff pay run, with PTO handled in the same place. Hours are captured once, from phone to paycheck.

“FAST has simplified our lives! It truly helps track and manage truck maintenance and produce MMRs. Our drivers LOVE the pay breakdown they receive each week — it helps them understand their paycheck so much better.”

Frequently asked questions

Which driver pay structures does FAST support?

Per-mile (with driver-level overrides), percentage of trip revenue, flat rate per run, tiered spot-rate tables, drop & hook pay, and per diem — including combinations, and fuel components handled correctly before percentage calculations.

Does FAST cut the actual paychecks?

FAST calculates and finalizes driver and staff gross pay from settlement and time data. Bank payments, tax withholding and tax filing are handled through your payroll provider. Review the finalized totals and use your provider's workflow to complete payment.

How do drivers see their pay?

Each driver gets a weekly pay document in the FAST driver app showing trips, miles, rates, reimbursements, and deductions — which is why disputes drop after switching.

Can I pay different drivers differently?

Yes. Rates are set per driver with company defaults as fallback — a per-mile veteran, a percentage team, and a flat-rate casual can all coexist in the same pay run.
