Safety in FAST
Driving events, score analysis, inspections, and training are separate records with different purposes.
Safety Forward is training, not a third event-coaching queue. Motive supplies the driving events. Operations analyzes those events; Compliance shows Safety Forward course progress. Completing a course does not mark a Motive event coached, and coaching an event does not complete a course.

| Pre-trip inspections | Drivers complete DOT-style inspections from their phone; managers track compliance. |
| VEDR events | Video/telematics safety events (hard brake, speeding) come in for review and alert-based follow-up. |
| Safety scores | Severity-weighted events per 1,000 miles, scheduling patterns, and the coaching backlog. |
| Training | Safety Forward courses are assigned and tracked, with completion visible to managers. |
VEDR and training features depend on your integrations (Motive/telematics and Safety Forward). If a section is empty, the integration may not be connected yet — see Integrations.
